All inhabitants and government employees of New Shropshire must hold a citizenship.
Citizenships can be granted either directly by the Governor or Vice-Governor or through applying to the Interior Office.
New Shropshire citizens will hold a Certificate of Nationality, which since 2019 is sent to holders electronically. This is a unique certificate that shows an individual's citizenship status. It is not a passport.
Holding a citizenship can allow you to hold positions regarding the Government or Armed Forces of New Shropshire.
Citizenship does not give you the right to live or work in New Shropshire, or travel to it. It is privately held land and you could be prosecuted for travelling to it without permission.
Certificates of Nationality are not valid ID documents. They cannot be used for international travel.
Citizenship does not grant any rights to asylum or statehood. New Shropshire citizenship is not recognised internationally.
Citizenship applications are processed by the Interior Office, and usually take 1-3 days.
There are no restrictions for who can apply for citizenship. Before applying, you should make sure you understand what a citizenship means, and what it does and doesn't give you.
